Stainless Steel Flanges
A flange can be generally classified as a plate, forging or cast ring that is used to join sections of tube, pipe or items of plant such as a pump or valve. There are a number of different standards applicable to flanges commonly used in industry today.
The three which are most frequently requested are, BS 4504, ANSI B 16.5 and BS10 (Tables D and E). Flanges are usually welded in position or are fitted loose on a Lap Joint Swivel Stub. However, there are a great variety of options available in the form of each flange including threaded, blind, weld neck and slip-on.
